Healthy Delicious Deviled Eggs

Healthy Deviled Eggs Recipe REVIEW

Thinking about what I wanted to focus on this week for Recipe FRIDAY and well with it being almost Christmas and having to entertain or be entertained I figured having a recipe for Healthy Deviled Eggs could come in handy. It is EASY, QUICK, can be made healthy and most folks like them. Also, as an added bonus because YOU KNOW I do NOT like to hang too much in the kitchen, I made extra hard boiled eggs and viola, YEP another meal, snack or add on to salads.... Lots of options and extra food to do it. WIN all around especially as TIME just seems more important during Christmas.

So where did I find this GEM? Did you guess Pinterest? Yep I saw a picture that said Healthy Deviled Eggs and clicked on it. It comes from the bodyrock.tv website. If you have not checked out this site they are AWESOME! Lots of information on living healthy, lots of vids on HOW to get healthy and fit (exercises) and the girls really are FIT! So make sure to stop on by and get MOTIVATED.

Here are my pictures:

ALL the ingredients you need to make this recipe. You probably already have this stuff right in your house now. I will tell you that I changed the recipe as I made 10 eggs into Deviled Eggs as 10 eggs fit into my deviled eggs container 😉 So I improvised and just added a little more than what the recipe asked for. In case this is your first time visiting my blog site or reading my Recipe FRIDAY blog, I often change stuff with the recipe. Like if I KNOW I am making these Deviled Eggs for a family and I KNOW they DO NOT LIKE ONIONS then I just will not add the onions. Or if they or you DO NOT LIKE HONEY then just do NOT add honey. You get the gist of this. Anyway we happen to LOVE onions soooooo yep included!

Here is the recipe straight from bodyrock.tv

Ingredients:
6 hard boiled eggs
6 teaspoons of plain yogurt
2 teaspoons of dijon mustard
2 teaspoons of finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons of honey
2 tablespoons of paprika
chilli powder

So I just boiled the eggs, unpeeled the eggs I was using to make the Deviled Eggs, cut them long ways in half, scooped out the yolks into a bowl and put the whites into my Deviled Eggs tray. YEP simple. Then I mashed up the yolks a little added ALL the ingredients except the chili powder, mixed it all up and scoop out 1 teaspoon of the mixture and put it into the egg whites. SIMPLE Finished with sprinkling the eggs with chili powder and a little more paprika.

SO how did it turn out? Pretty much like I expected. They looked good. They tasted very good. In fact, they tasted sweeter than they do if making with just mayo. Must be the honey. It is an interesting taste that is VERY GOOD. Also as you know, eggs are good for you and so are the YOLKS. Plus all the other ingredients are good for you so it is a WIN all the way around. You could prob have a few of these with a side of fruit for a MEAL. Hey just saying, anything is possible when in a hurry.

Try it out yourself and stop back and let us know HOW IT turned out for you. Also, if you LIKED this post then like below so you can share this with your family and friends. Or tweet, Google+ however you roll. Thank YOU for stopping by I really appreciate it and YOU 🙂
