Really enjoyed getting out there this morning and joining in with about 2000 other runners for the Winter Park Season's 52 5.2K run or run/walk however you finished it. I remember when I first got into health and fitness I just really did NOT know these kinds of races even existed and that soooo many folks actually attended and participated.
The very first 5k I ran was with my husband and I was so unprepared for it. IT WAS HARD. But I remember finishing and walking around, getting snacks and drinks and being so proud that I was able to finish the race. And, of course, feeling really good from that natural runners high lol. It initially seemed like another world was out there and I was stopping by but the reality was and is that that world is always there. Many, many folks are regularly involved with 5k's 10k's 1/2 marathons, or whole marathons and then you can go into different sports like triathlons and biathlons and cardio classes.
Over the next few weekends I am going to be visiting and videoing some classes because first it is going to be fun and second because I want you to see a few ways to get YOUR cardio in. SO many ways to HAVE fun, meet other people and get a great cardio in. So make sure to check back and watch what I am up to. You are sure to get lots of ideas for yourself.
