Looking back in 1983 I was shot in a hunting accident, which changed the course of my life forever. Four years after two major surgeries I decided to get tested for HIV because of the 40 pints of blood I had been given after the hunting accident. I tested positive. I then developed an unhealthy lifestyle—my weight soared to 236 pounds, I was depressed and sometimes slept all day. HIV was getting the best of me but I didn’t give up. “I decided to rebuild my life,” I started my “comeback” by rebuilding my body. After joining the Challenge, I gained valuable knowledge about training and nutrition. “In just a few weeks I built enough strength and muscle that I knew there was no way I would give up,” I knew “Winning the Challenge was a huge factor in my motivation, as well as meeting my own goal of looking and feeling better about myself. The rebuilding of my body has given me my life back. You can do it too! Thrive High!!

Hey Lynn—-don’t know if you remember me from Denver and running the Denver marathon. I got one of your books from you at that time and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Johnnie (my wife) and I were talking about you today so decided to look you up and see how you were doing. You and your wife Evey have been an inspiration to us. Hope all is well. Bob Lorren
